Welcome to Sholing Junior School

Welcome to Sholing Junior School. We are a three-form-entry Junior school catering for children from 7-11 years of age (years 3 – 6). Our school values of kindness, curiosity and success underpin everything that we do. We have high aspirations of the children and we nurture and support pupils to achieve academically, socially and emotionally so that they can become confident, caring individuals.

Through a broad and balanced curriculum, we aim to inspire a love of learning and a lifelong curiosity and desire to solve problems and answer questions. Our school community encompasses the children, parents, governors, staff and we strongly believe in working in partnership. We are passionate about building strong relationships to enable the children to learn without limits. We firmly believe that each child is unique and we encourage pupil voice to support the children to feel safe, happy and inspired to learn.

Our highly motivated staff team provide our pupils with the knowledge they need for subsequent learning and prepare them well for the next stage of their education. We are very proud to be part of the Hamwic Education Trust which enables us to work in partnership with other local schools to ensure we can provide the best education possible for our pupils. Hamwic Trust : Mayflower Partnership

Sholing Junior School joined the Hamwic Education Trust (HET) in 2018. The aim of the Hamwic Education Trust is to establish self-improving school systems by creating local Partnerships of schools where School Leaders take a collective responsibility for student outcomes.
